The Africa Youth and Talent Summit is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Green Platinum and Ink Media. 

The annual summit is held in major cities across Africa. The maiden edition was held in Tamale, Ghana on the 20th of July 2017. The second edition of Africa Youth and Talent Summit 2018 #AYTSummit2018 tagged 'Youth and Leadership Development as a tool for Africa’s Growth will be held on 20th July 2018 in Nairobi, Kenya.

What is the Purpose of the Summit?

-To educate youth with skills for continental development across sectors of the Africa economy.

-To unite Africa’s youth towards building a strong relationship for continental growth through ideas shared from the summit.

– To present a positive development framework to the AU countries, ministries of youths government and public universities within the continent.

– To learn from renowned and qualified experts on various career development for the betterment of our continent.

Who can participate in the Summit?

• African Youths from around the continent
• Aged between 18 and 35
• Good communication skills in English

What is the official language of the Summit?

The official language for the summit will be in English. However, we will have translators for other major East Africa tribes.

Africa Youth and Talent Summit 2017 Report

On Thursday, July 20th, 2017 the maiden edition of Africa Youth and Talent Summit (#AYTSummit2017)  took place in GNAT Hall, 20km Adjacent Waec Hall, Tamale, Ghana. Participants from three countries (Ghana, Nigeria, and Togo) between 20 and 35 years of age took part in the summit.

Prince Siita Sofo, CEO NTV Ghana, Mohammed Mustapha, Personal Development Coach and Mr. Awin Peter Co-founder, Crow tribe opened the summit. The sessions/workshops include Personal Development, Career Development, Africa Youths and Agriculture.

 In addition, a panel discussion of each session with youth representatives in the various industries was quite interactive giving participants the opportunity to speak directly to keynote speakers in the Q&A session.

The Africa Youth and Talent Summit attracted representatives from Youth-friendly organizations, teachers, politicians, policymakers, the general public, and media. Overall an approximately 500 people attended each section of AYTS. 

Furthermore, the summit was also entertaining as performing music artiste T-Banks from Nigeria thrilled the audience. Also, spoken word artist, Pobee from Ghana and Sanni, from Togo also thrilled the audience.

In the end, the participants of the Africa Youth and Talent Summit proposed to hold regular Youth Training to be led by the Youth Ambassador, Mohammed Yakubu and to promote developmental platforms for youth and talent development.
