Olamide aka Badoo was originally born Olamide Adedeji on the 15th of March
1989. Olamide who shoot into limelight when he released his Single "Eni
Duro" in 2010, grew up in the Heart of Lagos Mainland; Bariga, was
formerly signed with ID CABASA’s "CODED TUNEZ Record" label, but now
has his own "YBNL NATION" record label. Olamide’s album "Yahoo
Boy No Laptop (YBNL)" topped the 2012/ 2013
Nigeria music chart as one of the
album of the year with hit songs as" First of all", "stupid
love" & "voice of the street" featuring artistes as Tiwa
savage, Kayswitch, Davido and much more.
Olamide is skillful when it comes to code mixing of Fluent English, pidgin and
Yoruba. He was featured by Phyno in Ghost Mode. This hit single made the whole
street go crazily wild making it the streets anthem as everybody seems to know
the lyrics and are not shy to sing it even while walking on the road.
The final Year Mass Communication student of Tai Solarin University,
released his third album "Baddest guy ever liveth", with hit racks
like "Duro soke", "Turn up", "badoo love" and many more. Olamide has performed live on big stages that were overly
populated all over
Nigeria
and is most definitely a street favourite.
2013, was really his year as he bagged numerous awards at various prestigious events as "The Headies", "Nigeria Entertainment Awards
(NEA)", "Nigeria Music Video Award (NMVA)", and others. It is
safe and appropriate for us to gladly say, the streets loves and enjoys his
artistic talent and he in turn love them(his fans) back as he is yet to fail or
disappoint them.
His music has gained massive appeal and his rap style is being enjoyed by
many.
