GREEN CELEB--CELEBRITY OF THE WEEK - KCEE

Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo popularly known as "Kcee" ( The Limpopo master) of the once Kcee Presh group is from the Eastern part of Nigeria. Kcee is from Anambra state had his early education from "Tolu primary school, Ajegunle" and then "Central High school, Isolo" before proceeding to UNN (University Of Nsukka) for his Bachelor Degree. Kcee has always had music in his body system. At an early age, he assisted his father who was then a DJ and who also sold musical CDs' with his music business. Thus, He grew up listening to music and working on songs. This assisted him in building his knowledge of music. Kcee started with the then music group "Kc presh" was made up of "Kcee" and "Presh". The group was the winner of the maiden edition of "Star Quest" a musical contest sponsored by "Star Lager Beer". The duo released hit songs which was top on the Nigerian Music chart but in 2011, the Duo decided to split on a friendly term so as to pursue solo musical careers after 12 years of performing together as a group. K-Cee who has since after the breakup of his group in 2011 taken over the Nigerian music scene and even clubs and ever corner of our society with hit songs which he released in November 2013. His much anticipated first comeback solo album "Takeover" contains hit songs as "Limpopo", "Pullover", "Okoso", etc. The features artistes such as Wizkid, D’banj, Davido, Flavour and many more. Kcee who is signed under "Five star records", now has lots of alias which he got as a result of his hit songs. He is sometimes referred to as the 'Limpopo master"or "The Okpekete master" and he has so become a force to reckon with in the Nigerian and even African music industry. In 2013, he was seen winning various prestigious awards and gracing headline shows and events. And with the recent news of a collaboration with American superstar "Nicki Minaj" and a surprise possible signing into the Young Money Cash Money Baby (YMCMB) record label, Kcee is on an international success path and is not pulling over anytime soon.
