GREEN TALENT: WE WOULD LOVE TO WORK WITH WIZ KID--T-BANKS

The twin, Kingsley, and Kenneth musically known as T-Banks walked into our Lagos office looking fly and ready to explode.

In this interview with Green Platinum’s Talent Advisor, Onwuka M. Onyeka, they answer 10 exclusive personal and talent questions. Enjoy!

GP: Can we meet you both?

T-BANKS: We are Kingsley and Kenneth musically known as T-Banks, we are into the fusion of Hip Hop and Afro Pop genre.

GP: What year did you guys start professionally and how did you start?

T-BANKS: We started in the year 2010. We started by attending Green Platinum Talent Academy for six months to develop our music singing skill including songwriting, stagecraft etc.

GP: What has been your driving force?

T-BANKS: Passion and love for music drive us musically.

GP: Any African artiste you'd love to do a Collabo with?

T-BANKS: We would love to work with Wiz Kid, P-Square, Tiwa Savage and 2Face. These guys have taken African artiste to the world stage.

GP: Which of these stars make the list of your favorite African song?

T-BANKS: That should be Ojuelegba by Wiz Kid and Holly by 2Face. Those songs are simple word class from the production to delivery.

GP: What is the number one challenge faced by fast-rising artiste in the music industry?

T-BANKS: Financing your musical career. It is very difficult to get financial sponsors or record label when you are not known. You’ve got to spend a lot of money to produce and get your materials out there hoping the right audience listens to it. It cost so much to produce good music. It is also very expensive to promote music in Africa.

GP: If you are not a music artiste, what would you be?
T-BANKS: We would definitely be a Creative Artist (Drawing and Painting) which has been part of us. We are also taking time to develop that part of us so that when we are not recording or performing, we are drawing or painting.

GP: I see you are holding a book, what’s the favorite book you’ve read?
T-BANKS: The Holy Bible. In our opinion, it’s the best book in the world.

GP: I'm aware you’ve performed in Ghana, which other Africa country you'd like to go on tour?
T-BANKS: South Africa and East Africa. We are beginning to get a higher fan base from South Africa and East African countries. We’d love to perform in Kenya. We are currently in talks with a management and distribution company based in South Africa. So hopefully, we will be heading south soon.

GP: After this interview, we would be providing you with lunch, which African meal would you order?
T-BANKS: (Laughs) That should be Achi soup and Fufu.

GP: Thanks for talking to us

T-Banks: Same here.
